Welcome to Brightsmile
We are an independently owned practice in Delta — not part of a chain, and not run to a corporate target. The same team greets you each visit, remembers your name and your history, and has the time to explain what's going on before anything is recommended. That has been the idea here since 1983, and it is the only thing we are unwilling to change.

Our story
1983
The practice opens in Delta and begins caring for local families.
2018
Dr. Richard Lam purchases the practice from Dr. Jeffry Davis, working alongside him through the transition before his retirement.
Today
Many of those original patients are still with us — some after more than thirty years. That continuity is the thing we are most careful to protect.
Why Brightsmile
We are not owned by a corporation and we have no monthly targets to hit. What we recommend is what we would recommend to our own families — no more than that, and never less.

Dentist & Owner
Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Lam graduated from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Dentistry in 2007. After beginning his career in Calgary he returned to the Lower Mainland, spending five years alongside Dr. Bruce Marshall on Vancouver's west side and more than seven years leading the team at Willow Dental Care on Robson Street.
In 2018 he bought this practice from Dr. Jeffry Davis. Seeing patients who had trusted Dr. Davis for thirty years changed how he thinks about family dentistry: it isn't simply treating every age, it's earning the kind of trust people don't move away from.
